It turns out an iPhone can spend years collecting recordings of what you do — and you may have no idea. This is not about surveillance, it is about forgotten permissions. Check right now:

1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording. 2. Look through the list of apps. Anything unexpected there? The sneakiest ones are those you installed “just for a minute” back on your previous iPhone.

If screen recording is allowed for an app you never intended, switch it off without hesitation. Your banking password on video is not the best souvenir.

Old recordings can also take up a couple of gigabytes — have a look at Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
