A fresh survey in the Apple @ Work section showed that most IT managers want artificial intelligence to take over the management of corporate Apple devices. However, readiness for this is almost zero: infrastructure, security and budgets are simply not designed for such a leap.
The main paradox is that there is demand, but no understanding of how to implement AI. Right now, automation in MDM solutions (like Mosyle, mentioned in the article) comes down to if-then scenarios. What we are talking about is self-learning systems that diagnose a problem on their own, predict a failure and roll out updates without human involvement. For now, this is more of a concept than a working tool.
What does this mean for the owner of an ordinary Mac? Nothing yet — the technology will reach the masses in a year or two. But the trend is interesting: Apple itself is clearly preparing the ground for smarter systems in macOS. And if your Mac already needs a technician's attention right now, remember: an AI repairman still needs hands. Our hands are in armour.
